THE DESIGN CHASER

Friday Finds

3.10.2017

For those of you who are transitioning to a warmer, brighter outlook, today's post has a definite springtime feel. Located in Nivillac, France, this residence by award-winning French Architects Atelier MIMA blends in beautifully with its natural surroundings. The wood exterior continues inside and though simple, the kitchen has a warm, fresh feel.

Continuing their collaborations, COS x HAY have launched their latest collection for Spring Summer 2017 with a stunning campaign. A few of my favourite pieces include the Large Paper Vase, Crinkle Throw and Tela Tumbler Glasses. Looking ahead to the new season, COS speaks with HAY founders Mette and Rolf Hay about their springtime rituals and the timeless nature of their design philosophy. A great interview, check it out here

These next images have been circulating heavily but I'm sure you'll see why. The work of stylist Pella Hedeby together with photographer Sara Medina Lind, they are part of an editorial feature in the current issue of Rum Hemma. Centred around the theme of Soft Minimalism, it's a term we're hearing more and more and one that resonates with so many. As with everything Pella turns her hand to, the styling is spot on with a mix of beautiful Scandinavian pieces and a hint of Japanese influence. Gorgeous textures in cotton, linen and hemp along with some of the latest COS SS2017 pieces, the imagery is simply dreamy.

Following on from the success of the La Pipe Chair which I have been crushing on for ages, Danish brand Friends & Founders have released the La Pipe Lounge. I'm in love! Launched at the recent Stockholm Furniture Fair, the armchair has a distinctly feminine silhouette and beautiful detailing. Good news for my Australian friends, the chair is coming soon to Fred International.

Following on from this H&M Home preview, here's a little more of the magic for Spring. The new collection is styled alongside some beautiful furniture pieces including the Gubi Stay Sofa by Space Copenhagen and the Kristina Dam Stool and Table.
