I'm giving myself a little pat on the back today for managing to post every day this week. School holidays are a lot of fun but always such a juggle. My husband is on leave today so I have been catching up on some emails, squeezing in a meeting or two and gaining back some sanity! While he's at the park with the kids I'm stopping by to share something a little different that I stumbled across this morning.
Casa na Rua de São Mamede ao Caldas is a private residence designed by Aires Mateus Arquitectos. Located in Lisbon, Portugal the bright white interior and unique art collection caught me eye. Because I favour clean lines, the curvature of the walls are a step away from my usual aesthetic, but the style of architecture reminds me of the beautiful villa we rented in Tuscany many years ago. In particular the contrast and texture of the concrete against the clean, white palette. I also LOVE the oversized swinging door that leads out to a beautiful big courtyard.
