A few weeks ago I caught up with NZ design blogger Julia Atkinson of Studio Home, following the recent launch of her exciting new collaboration series, TEAM.WORK. As the inspiring curator and voice behind one of the first design based blogs launching down under in 2008, I was excited to learn more about how she has now taken Studio Home's involvement with New Zealand and Australian creative businesses to new heights.
Together with young Auckland designers Mike Grobelny and Nikolai Sorenson of Trestle Union, they set about producing something new and different to their existing range of clean, modern trestle tables (which as you know I'm a big fan of). The result? A gorgeous collection of pot plant stands available in three heights and three colourways. One look at them and I was sold! With a simple, minimalist design that is both stylish and functional, I jumped at the chance to style one of these babies in my own home. Fitting seamlessly into every corner, I was impressed with the versatility of my small white stand which can hold pots of varying shapes and sizes.
How great does it look alongside our String shelf? With three different sizes to choose from, the options are endless when it comes to displaying pots and plants. I also love how they look in a set, with a mix of hanging varieties, fresh flowers, pots and glass vases as shown below.
