The 33rd Dulux Colour Awards 2019 were held at the National Gallery in Melbourne last week. The highly acclaimed industry awards programme recognises the most creative and considered use of colour across six categories of built work, and this year's awards attracted a record number of entries from across New Zealand and Australia. I've picked out a favourite to share with you today, Winner of the Residential Interior category, the Caroline House, by Kennedy Nolan.
Melbourne-based Kennedy Nolan restored and re-imagined the existing Edwardian house, adding a pavilion separated by an internal courtyard and swimming pool. Taking a formal yet whimsical approach, the interiors demonstrate unique detailing and a distinctive use of texture, colours and pattern. Beautifully balanced with the garden, the mostly neutral palette is offset by a vibrant green staircase in Dulux Dark Rainforest.
The paint colours used in this inspiring project are Dulux Dark Rainforest, Grand Piano Quarter (NZ: Sandrock Bluff Quarter), Black (NZ: Te Kuiti) and Calf Skin.
wOW....VERY BEAUTIFUL DESIGNS
