The Winter Issue of Homestyle magazine hit the newsstands today and with the sudden cold snap we've been experiencing it couldn't be better timing! In part two of my editorial series in collaboration with Fisher & Paykel I've taken inspiration from a beautiful kitchen designed by Megan Burns and Christopher Glanville of Sydney-based CM Studio. Nordic in style, the all-white cabinetry and natural elements provide the perfect inspiration for darker, cooler months.

Light coloured surfaces work well in making a space appear brighter, while wooden flooring, patterned tiles and statement lighting add plenty of warmth and texture. A good choice for compact spaces where it makes sense to combine the kitchen and dining area, a table works equally well as an island in creating a central hub to gather, dine and entertain. The table and smaller black accents also help prevent the space looking too sterile. All-white appliances by Fisher & Paykel create a streamlined and cohesive look. The ActiveSmartTM French Door Refrigerator combines value with style, while the Double DishDrawerTM Dishwasher fits seamlessly into cabinetry.
