Kick starting the week with some exciting news, today IVY MUSE introduce their latest collection for AW16, Homebody. The fourth collection for the Melbourne based Botanical Wares Studio, this beautiful range of limited edition pieces is my favourite yet!
Featuring simple forms and a gentle colour palette, IVY MUSE founders Jacqui Vidal and Alana Langan say Homebody draws its inspiration from the way people live and interact with plants in their homes in today’s age. “We wanted to encourage people to make the most of greenifying the space they have at home, whether big or small,” explains Jacqui. Homebody is about bringing a fresh perspective to the way we engage with plants and really showcasing them within the home” adds Alana.
Featuring seven Melbourne designed and made products, the collection sees the release of a brand new leather and steel plant hanger, the result of an exclusive collaboration with Melbourne based leather craftsman Wooten. Aptly named Saturn, the steel rings are powdercoated in black or white and fit a variety of pot sizes and shapes.
The collection also comprises three gorgeous new plant stands; Willow, Cubby and Foundation. Available in black and white, each comes in a limited edition colour unique to that design. I particularly love how Cubby, whose unique colour is Nude, can be made into a stackable plant stand. This is done with the addition of the Cubby Leather Straps, another collaboration with Wooten.
To further compliment the beautiful new range, IVY MUSE commissioned Victorian ceramicist Ana Maria Jensen to produce an exclusive range of handmade limited edition pots. Wheelthrown from ironbearing stoneware, each pot has been combined with unique glazes to allow the clay to gently reveal its natural character. The stunning pots are available in Powder White and Eskimo Grey.
Such a wonderful collection, I love that Homebody provides so many beautiful and functional ways to get creative with greenery. The new range can now be purchased directly from IVY MUSE. For a list of worldwide stockists, take a look here.
