Surry Hills House by Benn + Penna

The transformation of this gorgeous terrace home was carried out by award winning architectural and interior design firm Benn + Penna. Located in the sought after inner city suburb of Surry Hills, Sydney, the thoughtful re-design locates the new bedroom and bathrooms spaces above an open-plan living area that opens onto intimate garden spaces at either end of the property. A delicately detailed steel stair rises through the middle of the building and drops natural light from a large skylight above into the centre of the house. Compact yet perfectly formed, the design has been beautifully executed, while the combination of clean lines, natural materials and a simple palette creates a lovely pared back, Scandi style.
