I love seeing how people style their kitchen corners. So many different factors come in to play, such as bench space, layout, shelving or cabinetry, tiling, splash backs etc. But equally important is practicality. If you cook often, you may like to have quality oils and herbs at hand. If you love coffee, you'll want to have quick access to your daily fix. Or you may be a baking queen and like to have utensils at the ready.
While I like to keep my kitchen island as minimal as possible, with just fruit bowls, flowers and hand soap, I enjoy mixing things up a bit when it comes to the little corners on the back bench. One currently houses the coffee station, and the other has an ever-changing collection including boards, and a tray for placing grinders. Today I've picked out some gorgeous kitchen corners that I'm sure will inspire you.
As well as providing extra storage, open shelves allow you to display things that are too pretty to hide away, such as ceramics and framed pictures. The bench top can then be used for everyday items such as coffee, herbs, chopping boards and utensils.
Great for storing herbs or Nespresso capsules, I'm a big fan of washable paper bags that are so popular right now.
I don't think you can ever have too many chopping boards. I especially love the French style boards, that double as serving platters. Stylish trays are also handy for housing your oils and grinders, while a wall mounted magnetic knife is also a great idea.

Due to a big week (including a photo shoot at home and my son's birthday), I will be away from the blog tomorrow. Look out for me on Instagram, otherwise I'll see you back here on Friday. x
This post is perfect timing, we just finished our kitchen which I designed so nothing has to sit on the benches. But it would be nice to style a couple of corners to really highlight the room.
ReplyDeleteFantastic - so glad I could help Lila! Have fun with those finishing touches x
