Koko Classics | Giveaway!

About a year ago I introduced you to one of my now sponsors, Koko Classics, the Auckland based company who specialise in vintage and industrial inspired furniture. Having been a frequent visitor to their retail store in Mt Eden well before I started the blog, I really enjoyed interviewing them and taking photos of their gorgeous shop for that post. Since then, there have been lots of changes, including the opening of a new store in Ponsonby and most recently the launch of their online store. 

With an eclectic mix of furniture and objects sourced from around the world, the range is constantly evolving and expanding. The most recent arrival includes leather occasional chairs, additions to the reclaimed Elm furniture range and exotic hides.  All beautiful, timeless pieces to treasure, here's a small taste...

 Koko Classics also offer consistently great service and affordable prices. When I last popped in to the Mt Eden store I was as always met with a visual feast of vintage and industrial goodness. Friend and manager Heather eagerly showed me the new arrivals but it was the mention of reindeer hides being on their way that really got my heart racing! Soft and luxurious, I've long admired these beautiful skins from Scandinavia. 







Reindeer hides look amazing both indoors and out, as a floor rug or draped over furniture. Originating from the Sami people - nomadic tribes of Sweden, Norway and Finland, reindeer provide meat, milk and raw materials for clothes and tools. They are still important to the Sami people's culture and existence today, making them an eco-friendly, sustainable product. 

The fur is incredibly soft and each skin has unique markings. Hollow hair makes them perfect for heat efficiency. As far as winter warmers and authentic Scandi-style goes, these reindeer hides are the perfect accessory for your home. The best news is, Koko Classics are giving away a Large Reindeer Hide valued at NZ$595.00 to one lucky reader! 


To enter, pop over to the Koko Classics Website, choose two of your favourite products (other than the Reindeer Hide) from the online store, and name them in the comments below. You must also like the Koko Classics Facebook page and The Design chaser Facebook page. For extra entries share to Facebook and Twitter and let me know you've done so in the comments below so that I know to count you twice.

The winner will be chosen by Random.org on Monday, 8th July and announced on The Design Chaser Blog and Facebook page. Please leave your full name in the comments. Once announced, the winner will need to contact me within three days, otherwise another winner will be selected.

    So much to oggle at! Confident my little guy would love the Fire Engine Speedster purely on the cool factor so would have to be one pick and my second pick would have to be the Elm & Iron Swivel Stools - they'd be perfect at my new kitchen bench and have been on my "want/must have" list for some time!     So hard to choose only two items! KOKO Classics have very modern stylish furniture I love it. I would have to pick the Hennessey Occasional Chair to have in my 1 year old daughters room and the second piece that I would love to own would have to be the Reclaimed Elm 9 Drawer Side Board for in our bedroom.     I know I already placed a comment but it seems to have disappeared :( no issue, I will "redo" :) so what I said was that I lovingly discovered Koko Classics a while back on a wonder along Ponsonby Road, they told me that they had just opened a few days before. I walked in and was google eyed for my entire (almost) half hour visit! The entire store left me drooling and the manager was so so lovely. So to say two things, my goodness, so difficult! On the top of my wish list sit though: Dulton Doctors Display Cabinet, the Hennessey Occasional Chair and I can't look past the absolutely beautiful Serengeti and Kilim cushions, simply beautiful.     What an awesome site you have! Just discovered it yesterday and have already got my friends perusing it
    I think the Resin Bear Head is a definite stand out, just a touch different from your typical Stag or Rhino.

    Wow - great stuff in Koko right now! Reindeer rug? Yes please!! If I could pick anything (except the reindeer rug - which I would pick!) it would have to be the marine commode, how Devine is that! AND I could do with the Brooklyn Tripod lamp. Oh yes my house would be complete! ...until the next time I visit Koko and fall in love with something. My compass clock hangs proudly on my wall and gathers many admirers comments. Thanks Heather!     I don't think there's anything I DON'T like from Koko Classics ... However, as we have recently built in the Mangonui area and have views of the country with many a grazing cow...the two items I have my eyes on next time I get to AKL are Calf Skins Fresian Cowhide Cushions. The Reindeer Hides would be stunning with our polished concrete floors and a leather couch, please... pick me, pick me!

    I've just fallen in love with entire site and think the reindeer hide is truly beautiful. Another two favourite picks are the shield mounted kudu horns and the vintage ruler boxes, gorgeous and practical!! Crossing my fingers for a win :)

    My two favourite items are the Iron Bar Crank Table and the Marine Commode, but it's really hard to pick! Lots of great stuff in store. (I also like the Aviator tub chairs but they aren't on the website that I could see.)

    Apart from the hide which is beautiful I'd have to go for the Winchester Chair and Grange Chesterfield sofa. I like wine, so sitting in a chesterfield with a glass of wine looking down at my deerskin hide on the floor would make me very very content!! Liked and shared on Facebook

    I am currently coveting the Shield Mounted Inner Kudu Horns and the D'Appoint Side Table. I grew up on a farm and when my parents sold they left the four beautiful deer heads behind as they had no room but they would now look amazing in my dining room! (or at least one would!).
