Torquay Concrete House by Auhaus Architecture

Located on the Victorian Surf Coast in Australia, this incredible concrete house is by Auhaus Architecture, an award winning design studio operating out of Melbourne and the Bellarine Peninsular. The personal project of talented creative couple Damian Oliveri of Oliveri Construction and his partner, artist Prudence Caroline, I have no doubt it would have been a dream come true seeing this through to its recent completion last year. The sheer size of the home together with its unique architectural features and combination of concrete and warm wood make it jaw-droppingly good to look at. I can only imagine how amazing it must be to live in.

I love the brass detailing by Auhaus seen throughout the home. Along with marble and wood, these materials add warmth to the natural concrete mass, while also providing exquisite patterning. A careful curation of furniture and textiles, including beautiful leather seating and luxurious rugs give the home further layers of interest and texture.
