The Australian Interior Design Awards has returned with a record-breaking 215 projects shortlisted for 2023. Celebrating its 20th year, the Australian Interior Design Awards are regarded as the country’s pre-eminent industry-based awards program. Acknowledging works across residential, commercial and public sectors, the esteemed program recognises and celebrates excellence in interior design, conferring national and international significance. As always, the Residential Design and Decoration categories delivered an incredible range of submissions, with 83 projects shortlisted from around Australia.

Delivered by the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) and Architecture Media’s Artichoke magazine, this year’s program includes an impressive array of projects from Australia’s most talented designers. Following the challenges of recent years, the Australian design and architecture industry has evolved and responded to its changing landscape to deliver innovative, beautiful and inspired projects across all sectors, reshaping the parameters of design and creativity for the 2023 Australian Interior Design Awards program.
