Impremta Garden | Sophistication and Soul in the Middle of Palma

10.27.2017

Impremta Garden is a unique urban residence designed by Spanish architects AVW Arquitectura, with interior architecture by Stockholm based Whyte Lilja. The two firms have brought life to the ancient Impremta Garden property in Palma's old town, Mallorca, transforming it into a living complex with 12 beautiful apartments. Based in Stockholm, Whyte Lilja have fused Scandinavian functionalism with contemporary minimalism, all while respecting the building's historical character and soul. The result is a dynamic yet low-key vibe with spaces that ooze quality and sophistication.

Each home features beautiful materials and detailing such as the chevron pattered oak floors, generous ceiling heights and restored ceiling beams to enhance the unique character of the historic building. Tactile surfaces, warm wood and a muted colour palette were chosen to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere all year round. The stunning kitchen and living room merge into a modern social space, facing inwards with large windows overlooking the garden, the pool or the street.

While the interiors are unmistakably Scandinavian in style, the beautiful terrace above reminds me of the hotel terraces I visited in Barcelona. I think this may be my indoor-outdoor dream! Be sure to check out the rest of the imagery here, including the amazing pool and lounge area.

  1. Really love the interior and exterior and how they both work with each other instead of against! Another thing I really love, is how the floor is followed throughout! Great styling and thanks for sharing x

  2. The bedroom and bathroom being separated by an incomplete wall is something surprising and new. I love the colors, very sophisticated indeed.
