First up today is a new release for 2017 by Muuto, the AMBIT RAIL lamp by Stockholm-based TAF Architects. An extension to the existing AMBIT series, the RAIL is constructed out of three shades mounted onto a tube, with hidden joints and cables and remarkably thin supporting wires. Minimal yet striking, the design has a beautiful fluidity and appears to float in mid-air. Perfectly suited to a dining area or kitchen island, it comes in black, white and grey.
These beautiful new earthenware pieces are designed by Cecilie Manz and form part of the Fritz Hansen Objects Collection. Handmade from a combination of clay and ceramic glaze, the process of carefully selected placement in the oven when burning the clay ensures an individual look to every single piece. Made up of four designs, these include the Vase, Jar Vase, Bowl and Candlestick.
NZ brand Resident unveiled some stunning new products at the recent Milan Design Week. The Circus 750 pendants consist of interconnected brass rings, each of which is encircled with an LED light source that casts a warm glow.
Resident also introduced their beautiful new Bloom Pendant designed by London designer Tim Rundle. Featuring a super elliptical form inspired by the gentle dynamic flow of paper lanterns, its glorious lit effect is the result of transparency and light. Two contrasting materials - a finely perforated mesh core and frosted blown glass, combine to project a soft focus and textural patterns inside the shade.
Ohh wow, super gorgeous interiors and pieces!!x
