Homes to Inspire | Grey Contrasts in Denmark

7.22.2016

This elegant home in Denmark belongs to interior stylist Cille Grut. A lover of grey, she has used varying shades throughout to great effect. The dark grey wall in the area shown below provides a lovely contrast to the surrounding white ceilings which feature amazing fretwork. Not only does the grey add depth, it also makes the gallery wall pop. Adding warmth by way of tan leather, the iconic leather stools and lounge chairs are by Poul Kjærholm. The stunning Beetle Chair and cushions both by Gubi have been upholstered in a graphic print by Pierre Frey, injecting a splash of colour and loads of charm.

Simple in design, the kitchen is given a subtle lift with grey cabinetry. The soft hue pairs perfectly with the pale wood benchtops, while the cutting boards and stool give the room a rustic edge. The gorgeous office is bathed with light thanks to beautiful big windows and the bedroom, also painted grey, has a serene quality. I've been thinking about painting our bedroom and this is providing great inspiration!
