Frama Studio Kitchen

6.15.2016

Design studio Frama recently opened the doors to their inspiring new retail space and café in the centre of Copenhagen. Located in a former pharmacy, the incredible building which was built in the 1800s still has it’s original woodwork and architectural elements. The Frama collection of products which includes lighting, furniture and accessories, focuses on solid materials with natural finishes and simple geometry. Signalling a return to basics with  design that is honest and pure, their philosophy extends to their beautiful new kitchen system. Made up of freestanding pieces designed to work in any setting, the simple approach provides a refreshing contrast to today's increasingly complex kitchen designs.

The Frama Studio Kitchen is made up of three basic parts including a credenza, a tall cabinet, and a narrow side cabinet. Made in Denmark from solid Douglas Fir boards, the natural wood pattern gives the furniture a beautiful textural edge. Available in either a clear or dark stain, the cabinetry is perfectly framed in a black powder-coated anthracite steel grid and paired with Portuguese stone bench tops, adding further contrast. Frama’s beautiful Aj Otto Stoneware sits on top. The credenza can serve as a kitchen island or sideboard and can accommodate a sink, oven, or range. The single cabinet can be added for extra storage and worktop space, while the tall cabinet unit can house a refrigerator, oven, or microwave.
