Last week I had the pleasure of doing some in store styling at Citta Design in Grey Lynn. Working with pieces from the Winter 2016 Collection 'Beautiful Utility - A Journey to 1970s Berlin' I created a living area along with some shelf styling at the front of the expansive store. The collection, which takes inspiration from a divided city; the prosperous, modern West Berlin, and the gritty, grey Soviet-led East Berlin, is a story of beautiful contrasts and colours from the 70s. Masculine structural shapes and forms are offset by a subtle feminine colour palette and understated patterning, all of which I embraced wholeheartedly. Wanting to create a cosy yet calming space, the restrained, muted naturals and subtle tonal variations combined effortlessly. The rays of sunshine were an added bonus, especially after a week of rain!
I'm also going to be sharing some at-home styling with this beautiful collection so look out for that early next week, along with a reader giveaway!
