Urbaani Homewares | Lucie Kaas Wooden Animals

Exclusive to Scandi specialists Urbaani Homewares, Danish design brand Lucie Kaas is now available in Australia and New Zealand. Responsible for the re-launch of a selection of the most popular Danish and Scandinavian objects from the 50s, 60s and 70s, the gorgeous range of Lucie Kaas designer wooden animals provide a playful way of introducing natural elements to a room. The perfect addition to a light and white interior, I've styled our two new wooden darlings, the Elephant and Sparrow on our living room String shelf. 

These charming little creatures are part of a wooden series from Gunnar Flørning- the man behind many of the biggest Danish design successes in history. Made from smoked oak materials, the focus is on simple, clean lines with particular attention to detail, craftsmanship and use of natural materials. In addition to the Sparrow and Elephant, the range includes a Duck, Rabbit or Pelican, all of which are delightful and come in a range of sizes.

Of course the versatile little animals also look adorable in kids spaces. Even before I had opened the boxes Marlow was asking if he could have a play, so I snapped a few cute pics of him in action.
