Kanuka Collective | Solstice Collection

7.27.2015

Ever since featuring their debut home ware range last year, NZ brand Kanuka Collective have been firmly cemented in my mind as one to watch. Hearing of their new Winter 2015 Solstice Collection, I felt the familiar buzz of excitement at seeing their stunning new range of cushions. Designed with the colder months in mind, co-founder Ryan MacPherson, who I interviewed last year, says they have evolved from the palm print into something suitably sophisticated. "We've really focused on textures - natural (real) cork, leather, wool and linen".  Made here in NZ, using the finest quality materials hand sourced from all over the world, the products are beautifully crafted, with incredible attention to detail, including the Kanuka signature gold foiled tag.

With the gorgeous Waitakere rainforest as both the location and inspiration behind Kanuka, the incredible Brake House in Titirangi, designed by Sang Architects in 1977 provides the perfect backdrop to showcase the new collection.

In addition to cushions, there are exquisite wool and cashmere throws, a leather butterfly chair and a range of scented soy candles.

Such incredible textures and lush materials. I would happily place just one of the cushions on a sofa, chair or bed to add some wow, but I love that they all compliment one another. As for those cashmere throws. Amazing!

Visit Kanuka Collective to see the full range and to shop online.
