Nordiska Kök Opens Unmanned Showroom

6.15.2020

Since launching in 2017, Swedish kitchen company Nordiska Kök has provided a constant source of inspiration. The elegantly designed, timeless kitchens are styled and captured so beautifully, I love seeing their latest projects land in my inbox. At the start of June, Nordiska Kök opened its Concept Showroom outside of Stockholm, with the idea of welcoming customers inside a physical version of the brand’s inspiring Instagram feed. Completely unmanned, the showroom provides visitors with the freedom of viewing the designs and making choices without any distractions, at a time that suits them best.

How does it Work?
Through the use of an advanced code system, each customer is given a unique code that gives them exclusive access to the showroom. Once inside, and without any risk of over-crowding, visitors will be able to view a selection of the most engaging Instagram kitchens, along with countertops, colours and materials.

A Natural progression for the Digital Kitchen Company
While many traditional kitchen company business models are based on the physical meeting, Nordiska Kök has instead been inspired by e-commerce. Creating a unique kitchen concept where all contact, from inspiration through to the order, takes place digitally, opening an unmanned showroom is the next step of the digital strategy. A conscious choice not to use wholesale, make home visits or have staffed showrooms around Scandinavia, the end result is that Nordiska Kök can keep costs down and offer a unique, bespoke and customized kitchen, at the price of a mass-produced standard kitchen.
