Last year I mentioned I was trying to source a pedestal for home. Inspired by the two dining room pedestals featured in that post, I then saw this incredible home belonging to fashion editor Claes Juhlin and Michelle Zetterström. Understated elegance at its best, I absolutely love the simplicity of these white pillars in their living room.

Understandably the beautiful space re-ignited my search. I wasn't having much luck but then yesterday I came across some outdoor plinths at my local plant shop. Choosing one made from metal with a concrete-look finish, I was inspired by my mood board below and decided to paint it in a light grey colour.

A couple of coats of Dulux Midhirst Half (left over from my office) and I'm really happy with the result!

Is it bad to say, that I love yours more than the original?! The light stone colour definitely makes the contents on top of the pedestal stand out more!! I love it!x
