Like many busy people I frequently turn to online shopping for ideas and inspiration, especially when it comes to home interiors. Often it's only window shopping (of the virtual kind) as many of the online stores that I love are far away making shipping a barrier. So when I hear of one that's closer to home, it's a good day. When it's one that has an incredible range of products, even better. Let me introduce you to In A Designer Home (Idh), the gorgeous Australian online store founded by Jamee Huntington....
When Sydney-siderJamee and I crossed paths recently I was eager to check out her store and straight away she had me at Muuto. By far one of my fave designers, this Scandinavian brand sets a benchmark for me. If I see them, I'm in! Once I'd established that Idh ship outside of Australia and that they have the Oak Muuto 'The Dots' that I want so badly in stock (at a very good price, I might add) I was ready to get out my credit card. Which I may now need to hide, judging by all that's on offer!
Products from the Muuto range, available from Idh
What's unique about Idh is Jamee's vision to bring together both existing and established designers as well as those who aren't so well known. Designers from Australia and around the world are represented with exclusive distribution agreements in place, providing accessibility to a wide range of stylish and innovative products including lighting, home accessories and furniture.
Artworks by Urban Road, available from Idh
The Idh site is easy to navigate allowing you to browse by product or designer. One of my fave features is Meet the Designers where you can learn more about the people behind the brands and their inspiring stories. I've discovered some amazing new designers thanks to Idh such as Blok, Sixhands, Chris Hardy, Blond and Robert Plumb. With more jumping on board all the time, I'll be checking in regularly. Take a look at my ten picks and I'm sure you'll be joining me.
To receive the Idh newsletter and to keep up to date with the latest products, make sure you sign up to become a member. You'll also receive members only specials as well as fantastic interior design & styling tips, inspirational design interviews and more. Right - now go grab your credit card. You know you want to!
