A few days before Christmas I received a press release announcing that IKEA would be opening in NZ. After hearing many rumours over the years, it's great that it's finally, officially happening! Further details regarding the operations are due to be released early 2019, so watch this space.
In the meantime, I thought I'd share the latest inspiration from IKEA Livet Hemma, showcasing the versatile KALLAX shelf. Beautifully styled by Evalotta Sundling and Elin Kickén, the shelving is available in different designs to encourage creativity, while also providing plenty of storage options.
Designed to work in different living areas, it also makes a great mobile storage unit for the home office, as demonstrated in these gorgeous images. I love the hanging fabric inserts! With a clean palette of bright whites, warm neutrals and pops of silver, the effortless mix of books, quirky objects, lighting and art make the the space look really inviting. This is indeed a beautifully styled bookcase and the hanging fabric insert gives it that twist that makes you gaze at it, thinking 'now, that is a clever idea'!
