THE DESIGN CHASER

Homes to Inspire | Relaxed Grandeur

9.18.2015

Finishing off the week with a beautiful Norwegian home, I simply couldn't go past this one without sharing. I only wish there were more images. In terms of classical features, it doesn't get much better than this. I mean just look at that flooring and ceiling detail! Judging by the mix of design pieces from the owners clearly have incredible taste. The Gubi GamFratesi TS Table is a favourite, and I love their collection of statement lighting including the Brass Restart Milano Table Lamp the Azimut Industries Floor Lamp and the Tip of the Tongue Table lamp by Michael Anastassiades. Light-filled and spacious, there's a feeling of grandeur, yet it still looks relaxed and lived-in thanks to a varied collection of artwork, cosy textures and lots of books. The monochrome palette is warmed up with wood and brown leather, while the rug and floor cushions bring in a little bit of a Moroccan flair. There's no doubt about it. I could definitely live here!

    1. I've just checked the article again and there is no mention of them other than they are filled with books! They may even be custom made. x

    1. Hi Tyler, I've referred back to the original source and unfortunately there is no reference to the sofa brand or where to buy. Here is the link again, in case you wish to contact the magazine direct:

  6. Thanks Michelle! I'm looking for a light gray sofa similar to this and a modular sofa similar to the NeoWall sofa. Would you be able to share any online stores that you know might have interesting pieces that ship to the United States? Any help would be most appreciated as I live in Milwaukee Wisconsin where furniture options are horrible!
