Tine K Home | Slow Collection 2019

1.11.2019

Over the last 20 years, Danish brand Tine K Home has released collection after collection with names that reflect the style and mood for each season. This year's Slow Collection centres around honest materials and usable colours for a calm yet sophisticated atmosphere. Shot at the dreamy home of architect John Pawson in Mallorca surrounded by the beauty of nature, the incredible architecture is vast yet simple, with walls that speak their own language with dusty red colours that reflect the soil of the area. As the sun breaks through, the light and shadow create an ethereal setting to showcase the stunning handmade products. I'll let the imagery speak for itself...

My favourite elements of the new collection are the earthy-toned textile products, rattan and bamboo furniture, woven baskets, ceramics and clay pots. I also love the metal furniture collection which includes tables, metal stands, cabinets and clothes racks. Hand crafted with natural materials, the pieces have a beautiful textural quality, while the warm tones and rustic finishes look incredible against the fresh white textiles of the sofas.

Such serene imagery, the new collection speaks of beautiful moments that need to be enjoyed slowly. I'd like to be transported to that poolside setting right now!

News from Swedish Brand SSM

12.14.2017

Smålands Skinnmanufaktur (SSM) are a design studio based in Sweden who manufacture beautiful leather furniture and accessories. Founded by designer Hillevi Magnell, and Johan Stockhem who runs the production side of the business, SSM work with leather from the world's only environmentally certified tanner: Tärnsjö Garveri. Designed with longevity in mind, their products are made by hand from mostly Swedish, natural grey and chromium-free leather, and get more beautiful with age. Today they have launched "SSM in the middle of life", a story behind the brand, conveying how the products come to life when they are part of a person's life. Told through beautiful imagery by stylist duo Sundling Kickén and photographer Emily Laye, here's a look at the magic they have created.

"There are rooms for creating and living. There are rooms for art. There are rooms for crafts and there is room for us." -Hillevi Magnell, Designer.

Nathan + Jac | SS18 Collection

9.01.2017

Nathan + Jac have launched their anticipated Spring Summer 18 collections, Casablanca, Sandstorm and Johanna. The curated collections, which are designed to take the guess work out of styling interiors, see the introduction of striking colour palettes, elegant lines and luxurious textures. Immediately drawn to the colour palette and soft feminine aesthetic of Sandstorm, I've chosen to share this beautiful collection with you today.

Inspired by the dunes of the vast Saharan desert, the Sandstorm collection combines a tonal feast of soft, floaty layers in ivory, camel, sand and oatmeal for a calming, serene effect. Like a Bedouin of the desert stumbling upon an oasis; pops of indigo blue, blackened kohl and rust punctuate this sandy backdrop, while glints of brass play like a mirage on the horizon.

A gorgeous theme for the bedroom and living room, these images demonstrate the magic you can create with the curated room packages on offer. All of the collections are available as full room packages, accessory packs, artwork, rugs, lighting and accessories, and of course the signature Nathan + Jac cushions. The incredible photographic print in the bedroom, A Desert Rest by British born, New Zealand based photographer Georgina Skinner was photographed in the Moroccan desert and is exclusive to Nathan + Jac.

The Sandstorm and Casablanca collections are now available to purchase online from Nathan + Jac. Johanna will be launching in October.

Tine K Home SS17 | Boho Collection

1.05.2017

Happy New Year! I hope you've had a great start to 2017. I am still very much in holiday mode, soaking up every moment with the family while my husband is still on leave this week, but it's never long before the blog starts calling. I know that it's winter for many of you, and I'm really enjoying seeing all the beautiful snowy images on the other side of the world on Instagram. In contrast, we are all about the summer vibes around here, and as such I can't help but be drawn to dreamy holiday resorts and poolside locations. The latest Tine K Home Catalogue for Spring Summer 2017 has just been released, and shot on location at La Granja Ibizait offers the perfect inspiration. Featuring beautiful new homeware, lighting, furniture and lifestyle pieces, the natural elements and bohemian style of the collection look right at home in this gorgeous resort setting.

Perfect for both indoors and out, I love the relaxed look of rattan furniture layered with textural throws and cushions. Other favourites from the collection include the clay pots which come in a variety of sizes, colours and finishes, the extensive range of woven baskets and beautiful new cotton tunics, blouses and shirts.
