Melbourne-based Botanical Wares Studio IVY MUSE have just launched Calypso, their third collection to date. Drawing inspiration from the Tropics with striking shapes, patterns and colours, the gorgeous new range includes four new plant stands and an exclusive range of complimentary hand­-made pots by Victorian ceramicist ​Ana Maria Jensen. Calypso also sees the release of two exciting and versatile new products, the Table Top and Plant Shelf. A collaboration with Sydney­-based Design Twins completes the incredible new line up, with a hand­-painted lightweight concrete Harlequin Pot.

Those who have been following TDC since the early days will know how much I admire the work of Kristina Krogh. An incredibly talented graphic designer and artist, Kristina runs a multidisclipinary arts & design studio based in Copenhagen. Her limited edition art prints, paper goods and objects can be found internationally in over 70 design shops and have been featured in numerous publications including Elle Decoration, RUM Magazine, Plaza Interiör, Residence, Inside Out, The Sunday Age, Red Magazine and The Nordic Courier. Excited to receive news of her brand new collection, the artworks are a true representation of Kristina's unique style, mixing geometrics, contrasts, patterns and distinctively different textures. The incredible location and styling add to the overall effect which is quite simply breathtaking.

It's been a busy two years for Lauren Roe who launched her Melbourne-based business I love Linen just two weeks after her daughter Olive was born. Teaming up with two friends, it has since morphed into a fully fledged creative studio, where the design team works with local and international weavers, screen printers, sewers and artisans to bring together a carefully curated edit of well-made beautiful basics and extra special unique items. Lauren also designs her own brand The Bedroom Society, with their latest range being the biggest to date. A gorgeous mix of Printed Bedlinen, Pure Linen Bedding and unique hand stitched reversible Pom Pom Coverlets, the colour palette features classic white and charcoal with peach and mint. Perfect for summer, the pieces are designed to mix and match, blending patterns, colours and fabrics together for a bright and playful look.

Lastly, I have a new blog discovery to share with you. Based in Finland, The project Verkaranta blog centres around the renovation of an old factory building with the beautiful new kitchen featured in Finnish interior magazine Avotakka. It's easy to see why!

We may only be halfway through winter, but as Monica Palmer of Slightly Garden Obsessed says, now is the time to start planning for summer. Our back yard landscaping is going to be a long-term work in progress, but if I could enlist the help of anyone, it would be Monica. Over many years in the business she has collaborated on multiple award-winning garden displays, written for lifestyle magazines, designed challenging and rewarding high-end residential and display home projects at an LA firm and, most recently in November 2014, opened the {virtual} doors to her own garden design studio in Perth. These stunning poolside images are from her impressive portfolio.

Winter calls for comfort food and there's plenty of that to be found on The Dailys. Author Annabelle Hickson, a former newspaper journalist for The Australian who lives on a pecan farm with her husband Ed and three children in the Dumaresq Valley on the NSW-Queensland border, is all about finding beauty in daily life. She shares her love of cooking, eating, growing and picking, along with "an almost compulsive desire to photograph it all", which is lucky for us because her photos are beautiful. Find the recipe to Maria Louisa's Hazelnut & Chocolate Crostata here.

Homes to Inspire | Fisherman's Harbour in Helsinki

I really admire the styling work of Minna Jones, and love following her blog Time of the Aquarius. Recently she worked on an interior design project in her home town of Helsinki, for two new waterfront apartments. Just like her own home which is always styled beautifully, the spaces showcase her love of Scandinavian design and talent for artfully mixing new design pieces with vintage finds.

The living room in the first apartment is the perfect example. Light and airy, Minna has chosen stunning furniture from Muuto and Gubi and added a vintage Merivaraa glass and metal trolley. Sheer curtains, a large patterned rug and plants provide warmth and texture.

Warm wood elements in the bedroom and office are given a vibrant punch by way of red linen bedding, a vintage rug and stunning Rival Chair by Konstantin Grcic.

Understated yet elegant, the living room in the second apartment again showcases a fabulous mix of old and new. An iconic beehive Pendant Light by Artek hangs above exquisite furniture from Nikari, a Finnish manufacturer of sustainable wood furniture, and a custom made side board by Lundia. The vintage black leather sofa fits in perfectly and gives the space a lived-in feel.

Recently featured in my Bed Head Ideas + Inspo post, I can't get enough of the DIY plywood headboard and Normann Copenhagen Pocket Organisers. I was pleased to see more of the room, including a full view of the beautiful grey linen, and Kaschkasch Mirror by Menu, which is still on my wishlist!

Homes to Inspire | Blogger Style

After rushing around yesterday squeezing in some client catch-ups before the school holidays arrive next week, this post is a day late, but the good thing is I discovered another lovely home to include in the mix. While I would love to have a more structured schedule of posts, especially because I am such a 'routine' person, in reality I enjoy being able to see where the day takes me. I guess that's the beauty of blogging after all. 

Something else that comes with the territory of being a blogger, especially those in the field of interiors, is that we love to put what we learn into practice in our own homes. I love seeing how other bloggers work their style and today I wanted to share a couple of current faves with you.  

The new discovery I mentioned above is the home of Sofia, a Mum of two living in Lidingö, northeast of Stockholm. A fellow-lover of black and white, her home has a really nice relaxed Scandi vibe. I love the way she has mixed the new with the old and layered in cosy textures and lots of greenery. Her picture wall, a mix of black and white photographs is a standout feature. Scroll through her blog Strawberry Dreams, and you will find plenty more inspo. 

Based in Finland, the delightful blog Da Daaa has been on my radar for some time. Author Anna Pirkola regularly posts photos of her gorgeous home in Helsinki, where she lives with her partner Joel and their two young daughters. In addition to blogging, Anna works as a concept designer and stylist for Duotone studio. I found it hard picking which photos to share as they are all so good, but my favourites are those of her picture wall (no surprises there) and DIY shelving unit made of boxes, that houses their impressive collection of LPs. Like me, Anna has a penchant for beautiful Scandinavian brands Artek, String and Muuto.
