Having long been inspired by the work of Swedish interior stylist, Daniella Witte, I was excited to learn that she has worked with my favourite kitchen designer Nordiska Kök for her beautiful Scandinavian home, Villa Witte. Reflecting Daniella’s warm and characteristic styling, the kitchen has a minimalistic design with powdery tones that beckon you inside with a warm and welcoming feeling.
From the polished concrete floor and monochrome colour scale to the kitchen island with engraved lines that nod to the exterior façade of “Villa Witte”, no detail has been overlooked. A natural hub between the dining room, living room and patio, the kitchen features textural walls painted in a soft chalk colour and a rounded kitchen island and concrete worktop.
To enhance the material palette and feeling of calm, the fan is hidden in one of the top cabinets and the fridge and freezer are behind doors. This also adds to the overall sense of tonality and cohesion.
The stainless steel sink is under-mounted in the concrete slab and paired with a minimalist faucet from Vola. The interior of the kitchen cabinets is in solid oak, injecting further warmth and tactility.
