THE DESIGN CHASER

My habbot

10.20.2016

A couple of months ago I was invited to customise my own classic pair of bespoke brogues by Australian Footwear label habbot. Not only have I admired the luxury range of Italian leather shoes for some time, I love the idea of creating a bespoke, one-off creation. An exciting concept dreamed up by habbot founder Annie Abbott, it is currently on offer to customers until the end of October.

The customisable collection entitled My habbot features the classic heritage habbot brogue, a style which has been part of the habbot collection since the brands inception in 2011. Maintaining the habbot principals of contemporary aesthetic combined with artisan craftsmanship, the collection is uniquely designed in Australia and hand made in Italy.

Once I received my beautiful pack, I couldn't wait to get started. Choosing from a selection of 14 exquisite Italian leathers was not an easy decision, but I had a lot of fun in the process. After sending off my pack, the habbot design team created a digital sample of the customised brogue for my final approval. The shoes are then hand made by artisan crafters at the habbot Italian manufacturing workshop.

When my shoes arrived yesterday there was much excitement! Not only am I thrilled with how my customisation turned out, I have been blown away by the quality and comfort of these beautiful, timeless shoes.

For the next two Friday nights they will be hosting bubbles in store, and Annie will be there offering assistance with designs and talking clients through the making process!

Final designs submissions must be received by October 31, 2016, with an estimated delivery time of January 2017.
