I came across this bedroom 'box wall' DIY via Dutch magazine vtwonen and thought it was too clever not to share. Designed as a a place to playfully display your favourite things, you can see a video of how the wall was built here. Even though I can't understand Dutch, it was interesting to watch it all come together, and I have to say it looked pretty easy!
Of course a coat of white paint and some beautiful finishing touches really bring the wall to life. I love the mix of prints, including the Urban Botanic postcard set from My Deer and addition of little shelves to place smaller objects on. The wall also provides a place to attach bedside pendants, using simple wall brackets attached to the top of the wall on either side. The soft teal colour and layers of bedding create a fresh yet cosy feel.
The multifunctional wall is not only a beautiful bedhead, it acts as a partition. Ideal for small spaces, a simple console/desk placed against the other side of the wall creates a perfectly usable workspace, more storage and a place to display favourite objects and artworks.
