Studio Kristina Krogh | New Hand Cut Works + Art Prints

10.20.2017

I've admired the wonderful work of Danish artist and designer Kristina Krogh since my early days of blogging, so it gives me much pleasure to share her latest collection. From the start of this year Kristina has worked on an extensive range of papercuts, three dimensional folded artworks, paintings and drawings which have been turned into a stunning limited edition series.

Landscapes consists of works inspired by Danish landscapes with waving cornfields seen from above. These cornfields create beautiful patterns that look like little paths seen from a long distance. The images above shows one of the Landscape art prints Path No. 2, alongside Pieces No. 1 and Over The Hills - Mirror, a papercut created from silvery chrome paper which reflects the light and its surroundings. It also comes in a stunning gold variation, shown below.

Designed to lighten up any room, the gorgeous new Balance Candle Holder has a simple yet sculptural expression. Featuring geometric shapes in solid hand polished steel and brass that balance on top of each other, the object can also be used as a small vase for single flowers.

Sky Transformations consists of five limited works inspired by the colour transformation of the sky and the landscape in one day. Titled Dawn, Noon, Dusk, Midnight and Night, the giclée art prints are made from Kristina's original pencil drawings and feature beautiful colours including deep blue and plum through to soft beige and grey.

Another limited edition papercut is Face - White shown above alongside Noon. Also available in silver and a striking midnight blue variation pictured below, these art prints look incredible paired with the acrylic glass frames by Danish design company Moebe. I love how the transparent, minimalist design creates a light and airy expression by showing the colour of your wall behind the artwork and frame.
