Usually reserved for when the kids go to bed to avoid any interruptions, Homestyle is a magazine I will read cover to cover in one sitting. Too hard to put down, the latest issue is no exception. Filled with fresh ideas and inspiring homes, I found myself lingering a little longer over one particular residence. Located in Sydney's sought after Surry Hills, it is the gorgeous home of Leah and Darius Taylor, owners of The Minimalist, a design store many of you will no doubt be familiar with. Originally a single-storey stable for the adjoining terrace houses, the couple have transformed the space into a stylish four story abode, with the store on the ground level and their living spaces in the three storeys above. While Leah's eye for design, minimal style and love of black and white is evident throughout, she also happens to have a background in interior design, which no doubt was a huge help throughout the renovation process.
Despite Leah saying it will probably always be a work in progress, the results so far speak for themselves. I'm sure like me, you will slow down to take in every little detail of this unique and striking home. Pick up a copy of the February/March 2015 Homestyle to read the full story.
Homestyle are also kindly giving away a free subscription to one lucky reader!
