News from &Tradition

2.10.2017

Well-loved Danish brand &Tradition do an amazing job of fusing Nordic heritage with contemporary design. Reshaping, redefining, and reinventing materials, techniques and forms, they consistently produce beautiful design pieces including furniture, lighting, rugs and accessories. Their respect for nature is also evident in their use of raw materials and the belief that design is made to last. Continuing their collaborations with top designers they have released some new pieces and campaign imagery for 2017 which I've been looking forward to sharing with you. It's also quite timely as yesterday I met with furniture company Dawson & Co who are NZ's exclusive stockist of &Tradition. I can't tell you how happy I am that the brand is now available here!

The beautiful Catch Chair by Jaime Hayon has a new tube base which gives a truly elegant silhouette. I also love the Catch Lounge Chair which features a higher base and elongated seat.

The new In Between Stool takes the same beautiful form as the In Between Chair designed by Sami Kallio. The series which includes the In Between Table, aims at exploring the relationship between positive and negative space, where forms exist in the shapes as well as the gaps in between.

A new version of the Copenhagen Pendant by Space Copenhagen has been released in a sophisticated combination of matt opal glass and darkened brass.

And to finish, here are some existing pieces which I love including the Cloud Sofa and Pouf designed by Luca Nichetto, the Palette Desk by Jamie Hayon, the Fly Sofa by Space Copenhagen and The Moor Rug by All the Way to Paris.
