Friday Finds

7.24.2015

Some random inspiration and link love for your Friday, I've curated some imagery that will provide some new ideas, or simply a little escapism. A diverse mix of interiors, outdoor, fashion and food, I hope you find something here to enjoy.

Styling by Claire Delmar and photography by Felix Forest

A sneak peek inside the current issue of Inside Out Magazine via Poppytalk, I'm sure like me you'll be wanting to pick up a copy right away. I'm still obsessing over wall hangings and I have to say, the simplicity of this pure white one really appeals. Weekend DIY anyone?

Photography by Santiago & Mauricio Sierra for L'Express Styles

I often look at fashion editorial shoots for inspo, but it's rarely just about the clothes. I'm inspired by the creative direction and the photography. I'm loving these black and white images via We Are So Drooee. Featuring white on white loveliness, worn by model Ginta Lapina, her natural almost ethereal beauty is captivating. See more here

We may only be halfway through winter, but as Monica Palmer of Slightly Garden Obsessed says, now is the time to start planning for summer. Our back yard landscaping is going to be a long-term work in progress, but if I could enlist the help of anyone, it would be Monica. Over many years in the business she has collaborated on multiple award-winning garden displays, written for lifestyle magazines, designed challenging and rewarding high-end residential and display home projects at an LA firm and, most recently in November 2014, opened the {virtual} doors to her own garden design studio in Perth. These stunning poolside images are from her impressive portfolio.

Maria Louisa's Hazelnut & Chocolate Crostata via The Dailys

Winter calls for comfort food and there's plenty of that to be found on The Dailys. Author Annabelle Hickson, a former newspaper journalist for The Australian who lives on a pecan farm with her husband Ed and three children in the Dumaresq Valley on the NSW-Queensland border, is all about finding beauty in daily life. She shares her love of cooking, eating, growing and picking, along with "an almost compulsive desire to photograph it all", which is lucky for us because her photos are beautiful. Find the recipe to Maria Louisa's Hazelnut & Chocolate Crostata here.
