Bedroom Walls | Blogger Inspo

4.30.2014

I've purposely kept our bedroom very simple. A place to escape at night from the day-to-day chaos, I like it to be as uncluttered as possible. With sliding doors to the outside, a window above the bed and an open walk-in wardrobe and ensuite, there is still some wall space for me to play with. Hard to believe it's still bare, especially what with my love of art prints and picture walls, but I do look forward to adding the finishing touches and sharing it with you in due course.

With plenty of Scandi-style inspiration out there to draw from, I've picked out some ideas that I love from three of my favourite bloggers. The first is Jennifer Hagler from A Merry Mishap who nails the understated look every time. Perfect for keeping a current magazine or book bedside, this Book Hanger by Sanna Trotsman is most definitely on my wishlist.

Painting a wall in a dark colour is a brave move, but one that pays off as shown here by Nina Holst of Stylizimo. The round mirror is also a nice touch.

On the opposite side of Nina's room is this clever DIY idea. She has attached an Ikea curtain rod, which she uses to plan her outfits for the following day, or even week! FYI Nina has an AMAZING walk in wardrobe which she created herself on a low budget. A must-see, check it out here

I'm always looking for ways of storing and displaying jewellery, and Nina's Wave hangers from Design House Stockholm are a great idea.

Nina is a master at changing things up, and her bedroom is constantly evolving. For those of you who like to embrace colour, here is her current look, featuring a beautiful soft teal shade.

I saved this one for last, because it combines three fabulous ideas in one: a dark wall, picture ledge (painted in the same colour) and gallery wall (inspired by this). Executed beautifully by Deborah Gordon of Ollie & Seb's Haus, the images speak for themselves.

Which look do you like?
